Who we are

NRI Money Matters is operated by Amish Kapadia and is accessible at nrimoneymatters.com. We are an independent FX comparison and financial information website for the Indian diaspora. We are not a bank, money transfer operator, or financial adviser.

Information we collect

We collect information in the following ways:

• Newsletter sign-ups. If you subscribe to our newsletter via Substack, Substack collects your email address and governs that data under their own privacy policy.
• Usage data. We use Google Analytics to understand how visitors use the site. This may include your approximate location, browser type, pages visited, and time spent. This data is aggregated and anonymised.
• Cookies. Google Analytics sets cookies to distinguish users and sessions. Affiliate tracking links (from partners such as Wise, Remitly, XE, WorldRemit, and InstaReM) may also set cookies to attribute referrals. See the Affiliate Links section below.

We do not run account registration, collect payment information, or store personal data on our own servers.

How we use information

• To understand site usage and improve content.

• To send our newsletter to subscribers (via Substack).

We use cookies for the following purposes:

• Google Analytics cookies to understand site usage (analytics).

Data retention

We do not store personal data on our own servers. Google Analytics data is retained for 26 months by default. Newsletter data is held by Substack for as long as you remain subscribed.
